Twitters latest transparency report has been revealed.

According to the stats and figures released this week, the Irish State asked to have 13 Twitter accounts removed from the social media site last year, but Twitter said no.

Interestingly, all of the 13 requests were made in the first six months of 2014 with no requests to remove accounts being made between July and December.

Here’s what Twitter has to say about their transparency report: “First published on July 2, 2012, our biannual Twitter Transparency Report highlights trends in government requests we’ve received for account information, government requests we’ve received for content removal, and copyright notices (both takedown notices and counter notices) we’ve received.

“The report also provides insight into whether or not we take action on these requests.”
