In other FIFA news…

There has been a lot of talk about FIFA this week (see here), but we’re avoiding the obvious to bring you the news that EA Sports FIFA 16 is set to feature 12 women’s national football teams for the first time in the franchise’s history.

The teams included are Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States of America.

Unfortunately, there’s no sign of the Irish team just yet, which is a shame as we were hoping to recreate Stephanie Roche’s wonder goal (see below) on our console.

Hopefully the team will be included in some DLC when it’s released.

In case you’re wondering, the women’s teams will only be able to compete against other women’s teams so there won’t be any battles of the sexes when the game comes out later this year.

For more info on the new teams head over to easports.com.
