Microsoft finally revealed the latest edition from the Forza franchise at E3 last night and the game looks set to change how you race against computer generated opponents for the better.

Fans of Forza are set to experience a whole new type of racing when they finally get their hands on the new Xbox One as the console exclusive game will be like no other before it. Instead of racing against computer-generated opponents that are either too easy or too hard to beat, you’ll race against your friends’ and family’s ‘Drivatars’.

So what in the name of God is a ‘Drivatar’? Well, the new Forza will track your driving style (e.g. Fast and aggressive or slow and steady) and then upload it into the cloud. From here it will randomly pick different ‘Drivatars’ for you to race against instead of using AI. So while you’re racing against the computer, you’re technically racing against your mates. Or more to the point, you’ll be racing against your mate’s style of driving.

The video below will help to explain things a little better.

Looks pretty cool right? But if you’re anything like us then your ‘Drivatar’ will probably never use its brakes and instead of cornering it’ll just ram into other cars until it’s pointing the right direction. So that could turn out pretty sh*t.

All that’s left to do is to check out the official trailer for Forza 5 and wait for the Xbox One release later this year. We have to say, the cars look class…
