It’s less than a month until the Xbox One will hit the shops and this ultra-cool launch video has made us even giddier about getting our hands on it.
Ahead of its release on November 22, Microsoft are going all out to market their new console, bigging up the all-in-one aspect of an “entertainment system that brings together content loved by gamers, movie buffs, sports fans, and TV lovers, all in one place”.
As well as embarking on a tour that takes in 75 cities (including Dublin), Microsoft are believed to be spending approximately $100 million on a global advertising campaign and they certainly haven’t spared any expense with an ad starring Liverpool captain and the man behind Spock in the re-booted Star Trek series, Zachary Quinto.
Titles such as Titanfall, Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse: Son of Rome all feature in the promotional clip above, with a big television campaign set to roll out during Sunday Night Football in the US this weekend and during hugely popular shows such as The Big Bang Theory, Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead and Saturday Night Live.
As well as Gerrard and Quinto, the ad, which was directed by award-winning director Bryan Buckley with visual effects from The Mill, features one of only three McLaren P1’s in the world and certainly whets the appetite for the release of the Xbox One next month.
