It almost looks like there’s some sort of trickery involved…

If you’ve been on Reddit over the past day or so then you may have come across this video (or maybe you saw the .gif) that features a YouTube user by the name of juresnip showing off his EOS M camera and his camera stabiliser mount, better known as a gimbal.

The video was shot using the mirror in the juresnip’s bathroom, hence the weird floating in mid-air look about the video.

The mount is used to get perfectly steady shots even when the cameraman holding it is running along or just making a lot of minor movements and they come in handy for aerial videos shot using quadcopters. There’s no word on how much this particular mount costs, but we can only imagine that it’s a lot.

Still, we already know what we want for Christmas next year…
