According to the official 3DR website: “Solo’s video game-style controller will feel familiar the second you pick it up, even if you’ve never flown a drone.
“Pushbutton commands put both camera and copter at your fingertips. Take off, land or instantly pause your flight midair with a single touch.
“Click to start and stop recording or snap a photo, even adjust camera angle while you fly.”
The Solo features some seriously impressive features, such as the ‘cable cam’, which creates a virtual cable that gives you the perfect automatic shot, and ‘follow’, which lets you walk around as the drone follows behind you.
Now, you might be thinking, ‘this sounds too good to be true, JOE’.
So what’s the catch?
Well, this incredible piece of kit isn’t for the average wannabe drone-operator. The 3DR Solo has been designed with pros in mind and it will set you back anywhere from $999.95 to $1399.90, depending on where you buy it.
Even still, like everything else, the 3DR Solo is sure to drop in price sooner or later… Right?
According to 3DR, “Solo will be available in over 2,000 retail locations worldwide starting in May in the U.S., and in June and July globally.”
