From a rake of epic trailers to the latest news on new releases, here’s a look at the biggest stories from of E3 2014 so far…

The first day of E3 kicked off yesterday and the conference line-up was jam-packed from 9.30am all the way through to 6.00pm, with some of the biggest names in the gaming industry dishing out the news. The four biggest names to make big announcements yesterday were Xbox, PlayStation, EA and Ubisoft and so, without further ado, here’s a look at what gamers should look out for.

Xbox

So, the biggest news from Xbox revolved around three main titles, including Halo, Call of Duty and Forza. Halo: The Master Chief Collection comes to Xbox One in November and it will include Halo 1-4 in 1080p, along with the beta for Halo 5: Guardians.

Xbox fans can enjoy Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC ahead of anyone else as Microsoft have once again secured an exclusive deal and, according to reports from E3, the latest game will feature jet packs and walking tanks. Sounds fun…

The latest DLC for Forza Motorsport 5 was released yesterday and racing fans can now get their hands on the iconic Nurburgring track pack free of charge. The pack will also appear in the upcoming Forza Horizon 2.

Also revealed during Microsoft’s press conference were details on a new Tomb Raider game called Rise of the Tomb Raider which follows on from Lara’s last adventures. Check out the trailer at the bottom of the page.

EA

EA’s conference kicked off with a brief look at Star Wars Battlefront, set to hit shops sometime in 2015. The Sims 4 is coming to PC September 2, and your Sims will now feature a set of personality traits giving them a greater range of interactions to play with.

Battlefield Hardline was also previewed and the consensus seems to be that it’s like a regular Battlefield game, but with cops and robbers instead of soldiers and terrorists.

EA Sports also featured clips from their upcoming titles, including NHL 15, PGA Tour 15, Madden 15 and FIFA 15 – check out what JOE thought of FIFA 15 over here.

Ubisoft

Ubisoft’s conference was jam-packed full of news and the lovely Aisha Tyler, better known as Lana from Archer, hosted the event. Footage from Far Cry 4 was shown to those in attendance, as was Just Dance 2015.

Tom Clancy’s The Division and The Crew were also previewed at the expo with The Crew being given a November 11 release date. Also featured was a new cinematic trailer for the latest Assassin’s Creed game called Assassin’s Creed Unity.

The most interesting news from Ubisoft came in the form of two separate announcements. Firstly, there is a new Rainbow Six currently under development (F*CK YEAH!), which is set to be called Rainbow Six: Siege. It has been six years since we last saw a fresh Rainbow Six, so this is sure to go down well with Tom Clancy fans.

JOE’s favourite trailer of E3 so far was also presented during Ubisoft’s conference. It comes from the upcoming WWI game Valiant Hearts and we’d be lying if we said it didn’t send shivers down our spine. It totally did…

PlayStation

The biggest announcements from Sony included a new Little Big Planet called LittleBigPlanet 3, YouTube support for the PS4 (FINALLY!) a Borderlands spin-off for the PS Vita called Tales From Borderlands and we also heard that the original Ratchet & Clank game from Insomniac Games will be remastered in HD. There’s also a Ratchet & Clank movie on the cards.

There was loads of other news from PlayStation concerning indie games, PS hardware and PlayStation Now. Did we mention there was also an announcement for a new Uncharted game set to be called, Uncharted: A Thief’s End.
