Rewards are there to be reaped for Irish gamers.
Von Coin, a rewards platform that gets normal gamers sponsored like eSports stars, has launched in Ireland, as well as the UK and Canada, after coming out of beta in the United States.
Built by Von Labs, a gaming tech company based in Dublin, Von Coin is a unit of value attached to Xbox One achievements.
Gamers ‘earn’ Von Coins by reaching achievements that are verified with TrueAchievements, one of the world’s biggest and most trusted websites in ranking and rating achievements, with hundreds of thousands of users around the world.
Gamers can then spend Von Coins on auctions on a VonCoin app once signed up on Xbox One. It’s available to download now in the Microsoft store for Xbox One.
Commenting on the launch of Von Coin in Ireland, the UK and Canada, Von Labs CEO Eoghan O’ Sullivan explained: “All Xbox One gamers in these countries can now become ‘Von Citizens’, meaning they can earn Von Coins doing what they love – achievement hunting in any game.
“As our Von Republic grows, so will the prizes. Gamers can then spend their Von Coins on daily auctions such as Xbox Elite controllers, limited edition concept art and game codes, all sponsored by game publishers and brands and all for free.”
As well as their partnership with TrueAchievements, Von Coin are also represented by ‘Vonbassador’ Ray Cox, better known as Stallion83, who holds the Guinness world record for being the first gamer to hit a 1M & 2M gamerscore on Xbox.

To celebrate the launch, Von Coin are offering the first 50 JOE readers who use the limited referral code ‘joecoin’ a 50% bonus on coins when they join, enabling them to win more auctions straight away.
