Remember how impressed we were with MSN emoticons back in the day?
We’ve come quite a long way since then.
We have become so dependent on Emojis, that last year, Oxford Dictionaries Word of the Year was not the word emoji, but an actual emoji, this one to be exact.
We clearly can’t get enough of them, so you may be happy to hear that loads of new emojis are coming your way very soon.
Unicode Consortium are responsible for creating emojis, and they’ve just released 72 new weird and wonderful characters that you can express yourself with.
This includes everything from animals (bats, gorillas and deers), to new foods (the very trendy avacado, and the ever-popular bacon) and even a glass of whiskey.
Here are some of the best.
A literal ROFL.
A face-palm.
A fingers-crossed emoji.
And, unsurprisingly, a selfie emoji.
It was only a matter of time.
