With the E3 convention happening in Los Angeles over the coming days, there’s going to be a whole lot of news about the next-gen consoles

The rumours regarding Xbox and PlayStation 4 prices have refused to go away, but at least one has been put to bed by the lads at Microsoft today at the E3 conference.

The Xbox one will launch in November this year, and it will set you back £429 (just over €500). No word on the games yet, but if they’re around the same price as Amazon had them listed, we’re going to be very short on cash come Christmas-time.

Some of the other rumours which were going around have also been confirmed, namely that it will need to have a Kinect attached at all times, and there will be a fee to play used games.

However the rumour that it would need to be connected at all times to the internet is not true, but it will have to be connected once every 24 hours.

There were a whole heap of new game trailers announced too, with Forza Motorsport 5 getting a lot of attention, which is fair enough, because it looks spectacular.
