03/05 Tonight’s telly

The pick of tonight's telly.

JOE

Pick of the night: Die Hard 4, RTE1, 9.30pm

Tough cop John McClane is sent to escort a computer hacker to Washington for questioning. During this routine operation he stumbles on the plans of a criminal mastermind to launch a technological terrorist attack on America. GGrrrrr!! The latest edition to the classic series of Bruce Willis movies gets its big premiere screening on Irish terrestrial telly tonight. He’s still got it.

Sporting highlight: Live Snooker: World Championship final, BBC2 8pm.

The climax of the big one – the final between Neil Robertson and Graeme Dott at the Crucible. This one could go on late but well worth staying up for as it could go either way. Robertson could become the first ever Australian to win it.

More TV: CSI NY, RTE2, 10.25pm.

If you don’t fancy watching Bruce or the snooker then CSI always has the answer. Tonight the team embarks on a desperate search to find the source of a radioactive substance that has already claimed three lives at a Maroon 5 concert, and hospitalised Sid, who was exposed while examining a body. Maroon 5’s music did not cause the deaths.
