Popular recruitment website RecruitIreland.com has been forced to close temporarily after 400,000 registered users’ email addresses were compromised.
The site is offline after the company learnt of the breach through several spam emails similar to the one below, which most users would have received.

RecruitIreland.com believe their database was breached in order to attain email addresses and names for spamming purposes.

The following is information issued by the company to users who could be effected.
From RecruitIreland's investigations to date no other data, including CVs, usernames or passwords have been compromised.
