Perpetual motion has long been coveted by every boffin to have ever worn a long white coat and stuck Dr before their name, but a mad man with a cat, some butter and a piece of toast has cracked it.
This could possibly be the cleverest ad since someone in Apple thought of doing a '1984'-themed spot. It could also just be a hilarious advertisement for a Brazilian energy drink.
The premise? We've all been there, you've just buttered up a lovely piping hot bit of toast when you go all butter fingers and let it plop right on the manky kitchen floor. No matter what way your drop the toast it will always land buttered side down.
The other gem that's been handed down through the generations is cat's always land on their feet. Pair the two up and you've got yourself A) the perfect perpetual motion machine and B) a cracking tv advert.
Apparently Flying horse is a famous energy drink in Brazil, but all that matters to us is that their advertising is fresher than anything Red Bull have trotted out in the past few years. The Gives you wings line is a great one, but it's been around for a while.
Flying Horse's advert might have a few animal rights activists up in arms, but surely it won't lead to an increase of cats being found, taped to buttery toast in washing machines. Surely.
