We feel more than a little sympathy for a locksmith in Texas who tried to do the right thing, but has been arrested and is suspended from work.

Elvis Hernandez – now that is what we call a good name – was out on call with a customer when he came across a dachshund in the middle of the roadway.
As the dog had no tags or collars, he thought it was best to rescue the dog, but left his information with the customer in case the owner got in contact.
When no one came forward, he decided to give the dog to a home, a decision that was to have serious consequences when the owner finally made contact.
In spite of the good intentions, the owner filed a police report and a warrant was issued. “Unfortunately, when I was arrested I was arrested in front of my son," said Hernandez.
He was stripped of his license and charged with theft of property in Kerr County and is legally not allowed work as a locksmith until the court decides the next course of action in a fortnight.
A hard luck story on the run up to Christmas.
