An incredible amount of money raised…

The boots worn by Kerry’s Aidan O’Mahony in this year’s All-Ireland football final raised €28,000 at a charity event in London over the weekend.

You might remember Aidan handing his boots over to 11-year old Diarmuid De Bhillis after the win over Donegal at Croke Park in September. Diarmuid has special needs and attends the Home from Home centre in Killarney. It was a very special moment.

The money raised by the boots at the Kerry Association event over the weekend will go straight back into the centre which is fantastic news. On top of that, the boots will be returned to the charity and they will go on display at their offices in Killarney.

Brilliant stuff by everyone involved here, fair play.
