Ronaldo last won it, when it was known as the Fifa World Player of the Year, in 2008 and after Messi picked it up for the last four years on the trot, the gong is now back with the Portuguese superstar.
We also know the Team of Year, which is notable for the absence of any Premier League players, with some case to be made for the likes of Yaya Toure or Luis Suarez perhaps.
