Australian busker performs AC/DC’s Thunderstruck on flaming bagpipes

Fingers crossed he can play Wonderwall...

Eoghan Doherty

Yes. You read that headline correctly.

Some tourists came across this particularly unique performer in Fremantle, Australia last month and we thought it was just waaaaay too good not to share.

The technically gifted player, genuinely known as ‘The Badpiper’, has incredible control over his instrument – just listen to the floopin’ pitch bend he gets on the thing – and, as well as that, shoots GIANT FLAMES OF FIRE OUT THE TOP OF IT.

Let’s just hope he’s not wearing too much hairspray when those pipes flame up.

Why can’t we get one of these guys to busk in Ireland instead of some lad with four elastic bands strapped across a shoebox?

I mean, shoebox elastic band guy is good and his cover of Wonderwall is delightful, but a flame-throwing, leather clad, heavily tattooed punk rock warrior is where it’s really at when you want a busker to blow your socks off.

And of course, no Antipodean bagpiper busker story would be complete without footage from Gandalf on a unicycle playing the pipes. Trust us. It makes perfect sense.
