The Colombian striker’s recovery from a knee injury is not going as well as he had hoped.
L’Equipe are reporting that Radamel Falcao will miss this summer’s World Cup Finals in Brazil, despite hopes that he’d recover from a cruciate ligament injury in time.
Despite the fact that Falcao suffered the devastating knee injury while playing for Monaco in January, he was included in Jose Pekerman’s provisional squad last week in the belief that he could make a recovery.
That now seems highly unlikely as he has returned to Monaco, with the French newspaper reporting that an official announcement will be made early next week.
Falcao did train with Monaco on Friday, although he appeared to be anything but comfortable on the ball.
