Dublin duo Bernard Brogan and Bryan Cullen should be back in action within three weeks after suffering injuries in the league final defeat to Cork.
Brogan’s pulled hamstring and Cullen’s back strain are both said to be short-term problems although they are both expected to miss out on the first round of the Dublin senior and intermediate championship.
Both players were forced off the field on Sunday – a major blow to Dublin’s aspirations of overcoming the Rebels – but the most serious injury coming from the final could be to Cork’s John Miskella.
The steely defender suffered a severe back spasm and had to be carried off the pitch. He later travelled home by car instead of celebrating with his team-mates.
Paul Kerrigan also came away from the Croke Park clash with a recurrence of the hamstring problem that had made him doubtful in the build-up to the game.
