Dublin have been handed a massive boost with the news that ace forward Bernard Brogan will only be out of action for two weeks after a knee scan revealed bad bruising – not medial ligament damage as first feared.
It was perceived that Brogan would miss the Dub’s championship opener against Wexford after he picked up the knock playing for club St. Oliver Plunkett’s-Eoghan Ruadh at the weekend.
Dubs boss Pat Gilroy has also been lifted with the news that Bryan Cullen, Blaine Kelly, Kevin Bonnar and Darren Magee are all almost ready to return from the casualty list.
