After their thrilling encounter on Sunday, a lot of hurling folk thought that the replay between Dublin and Kilkenny was too good not to be broadcast live. Thankfully for those folk, RTE agree.

The Dubs nearly knocked the All-Ireland Champions out of the Leinster Championship at the second hurdle in Portlaoise on Sunday afternoon, with a late TJ Reid point salvaging a draw for Brian Cody’s men after what was a thrilling finale to the provincial semi-final.

The two sides will go at it again in the same venue on Saturday evening, but with RTE already having committed to broadcasting live coverage of Cavan v Monaghan in the Ulster semi-final, it appeared as if only those willing to make the trip to Portlaoise would catch the game live and that neutrals would have to make do with highlights on The Sunday Game.

Earlier today, however, RTE announced that they will be streaming the game live on RTE.ie from 6.30pm on Saturday evening (Throw-in is 7pm), with commentary from the ever-reliable Ger Canning.

Unfortunately for Dublin and Kilkenny fans abroad the stream will be available in Ireland only, but hurling fans on these shores can look forward to a game that, if it’s anything like Sunday’s encounter, should make for cracking viewing indeed.
