Depardieu takes the oui oui out of himself

Even Gerard Depardieu has taken the p*** out of himself over taking a leak on a City Jet flight from Paris to Dublin last month.

In a promotional video for the upcoming Obelix movie, Depardieu plays the famous French character as he and his faithful friend Asterix are travelling on a plane (which is actually a bus in case you didn’t notice).

In the French cartoon, Obelix is an avid lover of boar. In the spoof video Obelix proclaims that he “must dine on swine” and will not rest until he gets some. Sound familiar?

Depardieu made headlines back in August after he was reported to have urinated in a bottle on a City Jet flight from Paris to Dublin after the air stewards wouldn’t let him use the toilet during take off.

The video shows Obelix (Depardieu) causing a fuss as he can’t get his hands on some boar. So in true Depardieu fashion, he pulls a hissy fit and causes an utter commotion.

Depardieu sits beside the actor Edouard Baer in the video, who was actually sitting beside Depardieu on the flight in question. Baer is also set to play Asterix, Obelix’s buddy in the new movie.
