Eric does Paris; Cantona to star in French erotic comedy

Never a man afraid to cause a stir, Eric Cantona’s next move might see a surge of interest in French cinema around the world. The footballer turned actor has appeared in a few films to date, most notably the rather excellent Looking for Eric, in which he admittedly only had to play himself. Anyway, his latest venture might stretch him a bit more, if you pardon the phrase. According to the Mirror, the 47-year old will star in "Les Rencontres d'après minuit", or The Meetings After Midnight, which will hit screens next month. Described by Cantona, in a very Cantona way, as "not foolishly voyeuristic but elegant and unique" the Frenchman plays a character called The Stallion, who ends up getting invited to an orgy by a couple and their transvestite maid.
