After a difficult battle with cancer, the former Barcelona coach passed away today
Francesc “Tito” Vilanova, the manager of Barcelona in the 2012/13 season, as well as a vital part of Pep Guardiola’s unforgettable team of the previous few seasons that dominated European football, has passed away today at the age of 45. FC Barcelona’s official Twitter feed has confirmed the news.

Vilanova had been battling cancer for an extended period, and his illness was the reason behind him leaving the post near the end of last season, in order to concentrate on his health.
His passing will be greeted with huge sadness by all those involved with FC Barcelona, as well as the family of world football in general.
