There weren’t a lot of standout games in the Premier League this afternoon but the standout performance was delivered by Everton, who hammered Stoke by four goals to zip at Goodison Park.
Perhaps jealous of all the attention Shane Long was getting for his brilliant brace on Monday, Seamus Coleman wanted in on the act and put the Toffees two goals to the good with a spectacular finish from Gerard Deulofeu’s cross.
Having watched it a few times we’re still not sure if Coleman intended to bend it into the top corner or if it was a little slice off his boot but it certainly looked emphatic and the latest highlight in what has been a fine season so far for the Donegal native and Ireland right back.
