We’re guessing the Manchester United fans won’t be rolling out the red carpet for Luis Suarez when he turns up at Old Trafford in his civvies this week.
Suarez is scheduled to take in a trip to Manchester on Thursday night to support his old club Ajax in the second leg of the Europa League tie between the clubs.
Whether he does so under a disguise remains to be seen – the Uruguayan remains Public Enemy No 1 around those parts by dint of his ongoing feud with United captain Patrice Evra this season.
The unseemly row culminated in that controversial non-handshake at Old Trafford last week, after which Suarez was forced to apologise to everyone for his juvenile misjudgement.
We’re not sure the United fans are quite ready to forgive and forget just yet, however, and his decision to pay an unnecessary visit to the stadium this week could inflame the situation yet again.
Still, football is nothing without the drama, is it? And where Luis Suarez goes, drama is sure to follow.
