JOE turns green to 'Irish it Up' with 7UP FREE!

It’s nearly Paddy’s Day which means a few things to us here at JOE- a mandatory day off, ‘Irish-ing it Up’ and lots and lots of celebrating. In the spirit of things we will be going green for 48 hours – that’s right, the JOE website will be glossy and green all over, thanks to 7UP FREE.

The folks at 7UP FREE have reminded us that only us Irish can celebrate in our own fun and irreverent way, and so are putting on a show with The Coronas open only to competition winners at The Village, Wexford Street on Saturday March 16th to get you in the mood for Paddys.

The special gig includes sport, music and comedy and kicks-off from 2pm on Saturday 16th March, with coverage of the Ireland-Italy rugby game and expert insight and analysis from David Wallace, former Ireland rugby player.

Comedians Bernard O’Shea and Eric Lawlor will perform their latest material to the VIP crowd and the evening culminates in a very special performance by The Coronas, the only performance in Ireland ahead of their June gig in Cork.

How to go to this event? 7UP FREE need you to show the ‘Irish way is the best way’ by entering a special St Patrick’s Day competition:

7UP FREE are looking for ways people might express their own quirky Irishness with the best contributors winning tickets to the gig. The ‘Irish it UP’ competition offers tickets to those who come up with their own take on a well-known saying or slogan, using the App on the 7UP FREE website.  Over 600 lucky guests will be given VIP passes – each prize includes tickets for the winner and three of their friends.

Doors open at 2.30pm and event finishes at 9.30pm on Saturday 16th March.
