We know it is hard to believe but well-known pacifists Joey Barton and Craig Bellamy got into a row at the weekend.
Anfield played host to QPR at the weekend and Liverpool huffed and puffed their way to a fairly unimpressive 1-0 win courtesy of Luis Suarez.
Near the end of the game Barton and Bellamy got into a little bit of an exchange but it wouldn’t even make either players’ top 10 in terms of aggro.
Now it seems the row continues in the tunnel, according to today’s Daily Mail.
The paper reports that the verbal exchanges continued as the two approached the dressing room and they were about to square up before being seperated by their colleagues.
“It was more words than anything else, like handbags at 10 paces. Let's just say some of the language they used was only for the ears of the working man,” said the eyewitness that the Mail tracked down, obviously somebody who has a slightly old-fashioned vocabulary. Working man?
Anyway Joey made no mention of it on his Twitter page and as we know he is quite vocal there. Still, it should be interesting whenever these two sides meet again.
