The Liverpool owner says that Reds fans will still see a “very explosive offence” despite the sale of their star striker.

John W. Henry says ‘strength in depth’ was the main reason the club sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona this summer.

The Uruguayan moved to Spain for £75m, with Liverpool recruiting a number of players in his place to help the compete in both the Premier League and Champions League next season.

Speaking to BT Sport on the club’s US tour, Henry was adamant that the decision to sell the 27-year-old was the correct one.
