20-12 the judges scored it in favour of Ward. Well, that was a great way to end the week. Two European gold medals for Irish boxing. Congrats Ray and Joe. Super stuff.
JOE WARD WINS EUROPEAN GOLD!
Apologies on the first round score, it was actually Ward who was 7-3 ahead. The stream I'm listening to had it wrong. Ward is home and hosed here now... less than a minute left.
So nine points in favour of Ward and into the final round. It will take something extraordinary from the Russian to overutrn this one. We're on our way to a second gold.
A few brilliant combinations from the Irishman. 15-6 to Joe Ward after the second round.
Whoa horsey. The Russian has just cracked one below the belt to Ward. A dirty blow if he meant. A warning from the ref for the Ivanov. Knocks the stuffing out of our man.
There's the bell and we're hearing that it's 7-3 to Ivanov. A bit harsh there on Joe we think.
Half-way through the firs round and the Russian is on top. Ward isn't as cagey a fighter as Moylette. Very open. Oh, and a beautiful combo from Ward there. Back in it.
Joe, 18, is the red corner and Nikita, 25, is in the blue. Can we have an Ireland double gold? We're underway.
This is the 81kgs final. Ward, the 2010 AIBA World Youth champion, is from Moate in Westmeath in case you didn't know.
I'm back, just in time for Joe Ward v some dude with a chick's name. What's the deal with the weird music?
A very nice lady with a nice face just handed Ray some flowers and up she goes, the tricolour and finally some slightly better music - Amhrán na bhFiann.

I think this has to be a good omen for Mayo to win Sam Maguire this year. Enda as Taoiseach, fellow Islandeady man Ray Moylette now heads for the podium to recieve the gold medal to the sound of some crap Turkish music.
Thanks to @Midlands103Sport for letting us know that Joe Ward will be in the ring in about half an hour or so. This fight, then two more after it and then we're going for a second gold for Ireland this afternoon.
We think Ray will be be presented with his gold medal after the fight currently under way. And we'll be back a little while later for Joe Ward's final.
It's official. Ireland trump England. Moylette takes the gold from Stalker, 18-10. He's doing handstands in celebration. Hang on a sec, I'll do one too. Congrats Ray.
RAY MOYLETTE WINS GOLD!
Well, he's dancing round the ring as if he has anyway and the commentator is giving it to him as well.
20 seconds remain and Moylette should have gold....
Come on Ray, give it to him. Digging away the Islandeady man is. Stalker is a tough cookie though.
They're going at it hammer and tongs now. Moylette has opened up somewhat from his early defence. We're in the third round and Moylette marginally ahead on points.
Round Two done and dusted. Moylette ahead so it seems according to the commentator by a four-point margin.
Nice one Ray. Rocked the Englashman there, so you did. It's combinations all the way from Stalker but Moylette has more class. Couple of upper cuts definitely connected there. Advantage Ireland for sure.
End of first round and it's tied, 5-5. Moylette's defence is excellent. Let a lovely left hook fly at one stage. Here we go, round two.
May I just add at this point that I'm a fellow Mayo man myself and I'm roaring Moyeltte on here. Stalker is all over him early doors here. Ray playing it safe so far in the first round.
Okay we're good to go. Moylette in blue, Stalker in red.
Welcome folks. Here we go. Mayo man Ray Moylette is going for gold at the European Championships in Turkey, taking on England’s Thomas Stalker.
Moylette fought his way into the men’s 64kg final in a close contest with Azerbaijan’s Hajiliyev Heybatulla.
We should be under way in less than 10 minutes or so, I imagine. Also to come is Joe Ward's gold medal quest.
The latest from the ring in Turkey is that the medals from the previous fight are being presented. Ray "Razor" Moylette - we've made up that nickname by the way - is up first in a few minutes' time.
Today's European amateur finals are fast approaching. Stick with JOE to see how Ray Moylette from Co Mayo and Westmeath teenage star Joe Ward fare out in Ankara, Turkey.
