Expect a denial from the club any minute now, everybody.

The Daily Mail claim that Louis van Gaal will be named as David Moyes’ successor after Manchester United’s clash against Hull City next Tuesday.

The game against Hull is United’s final home game of the season and van Gaal is expected to be officially named afterwards.

The 62-year-old will take charge of the Netherlands at the World Cup Finals in Brazil but will step down afterwards, with Old Trafford expected to be his destination.

Van Gaal is expected to bring Patrick Kluivert to the club as his assistant, with the future of interim United manager Ryan Giggs the source of much speculation.

Giggs enjoyed a 4-0 win over Norwich in his first game last weekend, but is thought to be too inexperienced to take on the job full-time just yet.
