Luis Suarez wants to stay with Liverpool

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been linked with a switch away from Anfield in recent weeks but the Uruguayan has said he has no plans to leave the Reds.

Suarez was no sooner back on the pitch following his eight-game ban for racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra when the now infamous ‘handshake’ incident only intensified the entire issue.

But after Suarez apologised and life returned to normal, Suarez was rather tenuously linked with a switch to PSG, with some speculating that Anfield chiefs wanted rid of Suarez. But fear not Liverpool fans, as the man himself has said he’s not going anywhere, according to quotes in the Irish Examiner.

"I have spoken with people at the club and they know that I want to stay and that I am enjoying myself and am very happy here," he said. "No one at the club has told me that they want to try to sell me or that I will be leaving.

"I’m going to carry on playing my football here at Liverpool.  There are a good few years left on my contract and I want to carry on enjoying myself because both my family and I feel really happy here.’’

So, that should be the end of that, at least until the summer transfer window opens anyway.
