Malcolm Glazer, the owner of Manchester United, has died at the age of 85.
The Glazer family have owned the club since 2005, having taken over in a storm of protest for a sum of £790m.
Under his ownership, United won the Premier League title in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013, while they also beat Chelsea to win the Champions League in 2008.
Glazer also bought NFL team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1995.
The Buccaneers announced the news on their website.
“Known among his league peers as a pioneering thinker, Glazer infused his team and employees with the determination and dedication to be the best in the NFL,” the statement read.
“Glazer’s commitment to building a championship organisation has provided the foundation for continued success, on and off the field.”
