A bad week ended in more controversy for X Factor as the results of last night's vote were posted online hours before the result was announced.
On last night’s show Amelia Lily won a place back on the singfest, replacing the dismissed talent vacuum that was Frankie Cocozza, but news of her victory appeared on ITV’s website in Scotland just after 8pm, before the live show had even started.
Sure enough the 16-year-old won 46 per cent of the vote and is back in the race for the prize of being forgotten by March.
The ITV website soon had the article taken down but it just adds to the sense of chaos around this year’s show, with falling viewing figures, absent judges, no Simon Cowell and then Frankie’s firing.
Of course, last night’s show started 15 minutes late, with Dermot O’Leary advising it was because of ‘technical reasons’. According to The Sun it was a genuine power outage in the area, confirmed by a British Telecom spokesperson but we are still a bit susicious.
Anyway, if they keep up this level of cocking up, it won’t be back next year. Would you miss it?
