Model, presenter and director of Gilson Motor Company, Glenda Gilson, won’t be facing a stint in jail over an on-going financial dispute. Or will she?
The Xposé presenter has been in an on-going legal debacle over the Gilson Motor Company, which is in liquidation over a six-figure revenue debt.
Ms Gilson is in the High Court today over the dealings and had previously been told she could be heading for the slammer if she didn’t submit a statement concerning the company’s financial affairs.
However, it transpires today that the case has been adjourned until 11 July after failing to supply ‘sufficient’ financial details.
The court heard that Ms Gilson had part-filed a statement of affairs. Ms Gilson and her co-director and brother, Damien, have missed the deadline to produce the statements as far back as March of this year.
Her lawyers have said that Ms Gilson has ‘made every effort’ in assisting the liquidator in any way possible. The liquidator has since withdrawn a motion to stick her behind bars.
Ms Gilson is glad with the recent decision, as jail bars are ‘Sooooo 2010’. We’re just hoping she won’t be stopped from holding random stuff around random parts of Dublin. Or in other words, modelling. She may have to go back to doing nixers.
