One hardcore Arrested Development fan actually bought the 'ANUSTART' number plate for their car
We’re big fans of Arrested Development here at JOE and almost blue ourselves when we got the chance to meet some of the stars of the series earlier this year. You can (and will) watch those interviews here and here.
It turns out though that there are some even bigger, more hardcore fans out there, as one US resident paid tribute to one of the smartest TV shows in their own very special way.
With the return of Arrested Development Series 4 on Netflix after a six-year hiatus, creator Mitch Horowitz came up with one very funny personalised number plate for Tobias Fünke’s car to mark their new start – “ANUSTART.”
As you can see, it can be read in a number of ways...
The Virginia resident below doesn’t have an identical novelty plate but it’s a fairly decent effort you’ll have to admit. According to the story on uproxx, Virginia is apparently the cheapest US state for vanity plates and someone who is now claiming to be the owner of the car says:
“VA has vanity plates for $10 but unfortunately only allows 7 characters. They also have 24-7 DMV service so I had this ordered about .00002 seconds after I saw the episode. Glad someone can finally appreciate it!”
However much it costs, we want one.
Now all we need is a car.
