You probably have an idea what’s coming…

Two days on from the opening game of the World Cup between Brazil and Croatia and people are still talking about the decision to award a penalty to the hosts for an innocuous incident involving Fred and a Croatian defender in the second half. The Brazilian striker has publicly defended the decision by the Japanese referee to award the spot-kick and his comments afforded a headline-writer at Sky Sports the perfect opportunity to draw a fairly obvious but still very clever reference to an 80s pop band… fredheadline Well played sir or madam, very well played indeed.
