Just beautiful…
Spanish football fans, and especially those affiliated with Real Madrid, were plunged into mourning yesterday when news came through that one of the all-time greats, Alfredo di Stefano, had passed away aged 88.
Di Stefano joined Real Madrid in 1953 and he won eight Spanish league titles and five consecutive European Cups between 1956 and 1960 with the club and only Raul has scored more goals for the club.
The affection with which the great man was held is perfectly illustrated today on the front cover of Marca, the most pro-Real Madrid of Spain’s football papers.

As the player who did more than anyone else to make that white shirt one of the most famous in the sport, the all-white cover is simply perfect.
