Pic: Yes, that’s Ireland international Keith Andrews with a Qatar GAA jersey

We don’t think Keith Andrews has any plans to hang up his boots just yet, but at least he knows there’s a spot for him with a GAA team over in Qatar whenever he gives up the ‘foreign’ game.

We don’t think Keith Andrews has any plans to hang up his boots just yet, but at least he knows there’s a spot for him with a GAA team over in Qatar whenever he gives up the ‘foreign’ game.

Bolton fans shouldn’t be worried about Andrews switching codes anytime soon, however.

32-year old Andrews has spent a lot of time in Qatar of late rehabbing a long-term Achilles problem and while he was there, he was made feel at home by the ex-pats who have set up Qatar GAA club in Doha, where Andrews was presented with a jersey of his own last night.

While it was a nice gesture, if the number 17 is anything to go by they certainly aren’t going to be handing Andrews a handy starting spot if he does ever decide to tog out; he’ll have to earn it.
