Even at a very young age, this goalkeeper is proving that he’s got that unique personality that will get him far
There have been a few books, great podcasts even proper academic studies done, about what exactly it is that makes people choose the position of goalkeeper.
Normally, they have to commit to the position at a young age to learn the skills, and it involves spending a lot of time on their own, organising their defence, and throwing themselves at the ball or the feet of oncoming strikers. If they play well, people think they’ve just done their job, but if they have a bad game, they’ll be blamed for all the problems in the team. With all that in mind, it takes someone of a special mindset to take on the responsibility, and in this case, this junior team might just have found their man.

While it seems an unconventional pose, he can definitely get a good look at the medal around his neck that way. Also it goes without saying that he has a medal, so he’s obviously doing something right.
