Polish footballer makes a splash with goal celebration – the waterbomb dive

In recent weeks the weather in Eastern Europe has not been great, but the increased rainfall has lent itself to one novel goal celebration.

After the weekend we had in Costa del Ireland, boggy pitches full of puddles were consigned to the past, if only for a short period as we baked in the summer sunshine.

In Poland however some areas have still been affected by heavy rain, but on the flip side , some footballers have used the water-logged pitches to their advantage when celebrating a goal.

We’re not sure what the Polish for cannonball is, but we hope it was shouted before the goalscorer launched himself into this giant puddle after scoring in an amateur league game at the weekend.

We’d expect nothing more from Polish football enthusiasts, if you cast your mind back to this wonderful execution of skills on a waterlogged pitch last year. Truly epic stuff.
