Daniel Levy is determined to squeeze every bit he can from Real Madrid, according to the Guardian.

The arrival of Thursday’s back pages means yet more on Gareth Bale and it seems they all agree that the Welsh man is off to Spain, the only question remaining is how much Spurs will get for him.

The Guardian have the most detailed report. They say that Real’s bid of €100m in cash has been rejected and that Tottenham want Alvaro Morata thrown in as a makeweight. The 20-year-old is a hell of a makeweight.

Very highly thought of at Real, the striker was Spain’s top scorer when they won the European Under 21 title this summer and he could be the national team’s top front man for the next decade.

After losing Higuain, the Guardian reckon Carlo Ancelotti won’t want to let Morata go too but Daniel Levey has a tendency to get what he wants in these sorts of deals.

Morata, plus that massive wad of cash, could set Spurs up to have a real top class team next season. AVB could be a very busy man before the transfer window closes.
