Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben and coach Louis Van Gaal have both voiced their hopes of facing Jose Mourinho in the Champions League final.
Following their 3-0 win in Lyon last night, Robben wants to face his old Chelsea in the decider at the Bernebeu.
Mourinho had Robben as a firm regular in his Chelsea side that won two permier league titles in a row in 2004/05 and 2005/06.
The Dutch winger said: “I want to play Inter. I want to play against Mourinho and Wesley Sneijder. It’s better for us as a team. We can have more difficulties against Barca.”
Robben’s fellow Dutchman and coach Van Gaal shares his wish, and he said: “I would prefer to play Inter, that way I could have a press conference with my friend Jose Mourinho.
“The players now know what it’s like to spend 10 months with Van Gaal – they know it’s not easy, but they’re happy now and so am I.”
