Singer Plan B reveals Championship Manager “addiction”

Singer Plan B has revealed a former addiction so potent that it caused him to miss days of college works - the football management sim Championship Manager.

The 'She Said' singer told AskMen.com that he used to be "addicted to it like it was cocaine."

"I didn't come out of my house. My friends would ring up and I'd ignore their calls. They'd knock at my door and I'd say I was really ill just so I could play my game and have no interruptions."

Reminiscing on his proudest achievements during the game, which has been cited in numerous divorce claims in the UK, the artist recalled an inspired managerial spell at Rushden & Diamonds.

"My biggest gaming moment was when I got Rushden & Diamonds into the Champions League after taking them from the Conference," he said.

"It is so f*cking sad to hear myself say that. But I love that game."

Asked if he was inspired by the game to try out a Roman Abramovich-style takeover if he had the money in future, Plan B described how he would be a very hands-on owner:

"I love football and if I'm destined to be a billionaire with loads of money, what am I going to do with that money? I'd love to invest it in a sh*t little football club and take them up to the Premier League.

"I wouldn't want to be a chairman sitting in an executive box. I'd want to get involved in the team and make stuff really happen."
