Spurs attempts to bolster their front line during the January transfer window may have hit a hitch, with Barcelona joining the hunt for Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao.
Having sold both Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch in the previous transfer window, Tottenham have decided to put their faith in loanee signing Emmanuel Adebayor, but apparently Harry Redknapp is eyeing a more permanent solution.
Damiao, who appears to be wearing a swimming cap in the above photo, is a 22-year-old striker for Brazilian Serie A side Internacional and is rated at £15m, a price tag which talkSPORT claim has caught the attention of the Catalan giants.
The striker also bolstered his credentials on Monday night as Brazil romped to a victory over Ghana at Fulham's Craven Cottage. So far Damiao has hit the net once from three Brazil appearences, while he has 16 goals from 43 games for Internacional.
The Brazilian is also an apparent target of Arsenal, who will be without their new forward Gervinho for the upcoming African Nations tournament in January. However, it is thought Wenger may have cooled interest after taking the cheaper option (we'd have never guessed) and signed Park Chu-Young.
