Liverpool look set to make plenty of dough after signing a sponsorship deal with Dunkin’ Brands, the company that owns Dunkin’ Donuts

Increasingly in football these days, signing sponsorship deals is a big part of the business of running a club, and Liverpool announced today that they’ve managed to snag a big one that should fill any hole in their finances: Dunkin’ Brands Inc., the owners of Dunkin’ Donuts and iconic ice cream brand Baskin Robbins.

They will be the official coffee and tea provider for the club, as well as throwing a few donuts their way, and Baskin Robbins will be the official ice-cream provider. We’re not sure how many of the players will be indulging in a tasty Boston Creme after a hard training session, but at least it’s something else for Luis Suarez to chow down on.

A statement on the Liverpool website said that it was an incredibly exciting partnership, “helping to bring fans closer to the club no matter how far away from Anfield they live”.

We know of at least one man who will be a big Liverpool fan after this announcement anyway…
