Here at JOE we’ve featured a few expensive car crashes, but this could be the most expensive one yet.

We're not up to scratch on our Japanese but according to the video above, a single mistake on the part of one Ferrari driver in Japan caused a chain reaction that would put Nurburgring drivers to shame. In total 14 vehicles were destroyed in the carnage. We would say 14 supercars, but a Prius was also involved.

On the more expensive side of the destruction, eight Ferraris, three Mercs, a Lambo and a Nissan Skyline were all involved. How did all this happen we hear you ask? Well, Jalopnik reports that a group of foreign car enthusiasts were heading to Hiroshima from Kyushu when one of the drivers, in a Ferrari, tried overtaking another, only to hit a wet patch on a long corner. The rest is a petrol head’s worst nightmare.

Apparently the Ferrari in question hit the median and crashed into one of the other cars, thus creating the chain reaction.

Thankfully, no-one was physically hurt in the crash, but after seeing the photo’s of the smashed cars we can only assume they’ll be feeling the sting of this one for some time to come. Quite like this blonde.

Media reports estimate the damaged cars are worth at least 300m yen or €2.86m in total. The cost of fixing them is a different story.
