Tonight’s Christmas TV picks: 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Informant, Live Darts

There's only three more sleeps till Christmas and to keep you up tonight we have an 8 out of 10 Cat Christmas special, the Live Darts continues on Sky Sports 1 and The Informant is our movie for tonight.

Main Event: 8 Out of 10 Cats Christmas Special, Channel 4, 9pm

Jimmy Carr hosts a festive edition of the irreverent panel show. Team captains Jon Richardson and Sean Lock are joined by pop stars Jedward, comedian Micky Flanagan, actress Liza Tarbuck and Inbetweeners star Greg Davies to answer seasonal questions based on opinion polls carried out around the country to see who best understands what is going on in the run-up to Christmas. Familiar faces from the panto world also drop in for a special face-off, including Keith Harris and Orville, Arlene Phillips, Nikki Grahame and Brian Belo.

Sporting Pick: Live Darts, Sky Sports 1, 7pm

The 2012 PDC World Championship. Day nine of the tournament at Alexandra Palace in London, which features three matches from the second round before the competition takes a Christmas break until December 27, with Mark Walsh v Kevin Painter, James Wade v Jelle Klaasen and Steve Farmer v Kevin Munch the contests taking place. Third seed Wade will be hoping to reach the final of this competition for the first time in his career, but faces a potentially difficult encounter against the Dutchman, who reached the quarter-finals in 2009 and won the BDO World Championship in 2006.

Movie Pick: The Informant, Sky Movies Crime, 5pm

A delusional executive at an agricultural corporation becomes an FBI mole, setting out to expose his employers’ corrupt business practices and make himself a public hero. However, his bizarre behaviour and own illegal financial activities threaten the entire operation. Steven Soderbergh’s fact-based comedy thriller, starring Matt Damon, Melanie Lynskey and Scott Bakula.
