Main Event: A League of Their Own, Sky 1, 10pm
Finally the new series has arrived. The sports-based comedy quiz, hosted by James Corden, returns for a fourth series of sporting hilariousness. Former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie Redknapp and ex-England cricketer Andrew Flintoff return as the team captains, with comedian John Bishop and TV presenter Georgie Thompson joining them as regular panellists.
Sporting Pick: Ireland vs. Andorra, RTÉ 2, 8pm
Andorra v Republic of Ireland (Kick-off 8.30pm). Bill O'Herlihy is joined by John Giles, Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady to present all the action from the Euro 2012 Group B qualifier from the Estadi Comunal d'Aixovall. The Republic were second in their group, two points behind Russia, before this round of fixtures got under way, and they will be expecting to take maximum points against the hosts, who failed to earn a point from their opening eight games and succumbed to a 3-1 defeat in the reverse fixture in Dublin. Commentary by Darragh Maloney and Ronnie Whelan.
Movie Pick: El Dorado, TG4, 9.05pm
An ageing gunfighter is drawn into the conflict between a land-grabbing cattle baron and a ranching family, getting himself accidentally shot in the process. A year later, he returns to the town to find the situation has not improved so, along with his sidekick and the drunken town sheriff (there’s always one), he fights to defend the family from its enemies. Western, starring John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, James Caan and Ed Asner.
