Remember the rubbery children's toy Stretch Armstrong? Now try to imagine a big-budget Hollywood version with a Twilight star. Please... stop vomiting.
Thankfully, the sight of the tween franchise's shirtless werewolf Taylor Lautner as Stretch is no longer something you have to worry about, as 'scheduling conflicts' have been cited as the reason as why the teen star will no longer feature in the ludicrous movie adaptation.
No further reasons have been given for the casting change but it should be noted that Lautner's first action outing without the Twilight brand, Abduction, was a critical flop and mild commercial hit last summer.

Really Hollywood? Really?
The film itself will be based on the Hasbro action figure that was first launched in 1976 and was then re-branded in the 1990s alongside his pet 'Fetch Armstrong. The as-yet untitled project is targeting a pre-Summer release of April 11, 2014 and will be produced by Relativity Studios and toymaker Hasbro.
With Transformers and this summer's Battleship (based on the board game Battleship Command and starring Rihanna) both hugely-budgeted blockbusters, Hasbro are making clear inroads in terms of making both highly ambitious and absolutely braindead summer fare.
